Live workshop: 5 steps to innovation

How to turn real user needs into innovative solutions?

WinDays20 brings you Hands On live workshops for a limited number of participants (12 participants) on a „first come, first served“ basis.

The first workshop "Design Thinking" will be held on December 7th from 6PM to 9PM in the Mozaik Event Center. Workshop activities will be held in accordance with applicable epidemiological measures. Hurry up, sign up and take your place on the team.

Given the current state of public health, we have prepared for you three live workshops spread over three days of the 20th WinDays conference. On the first day, December 7th a workshop „Design Thinking“ will be held in the period from 6PM to 9PM in Mozaik Event Center in compliance with all prescribed epidemiological measures (temperature measurement and disinfection at the entrance to the hall, space maintenance and wearing masks during the workshop).

"Design thinking" is an iterative process in which we try to understand the real needs of users, test assumptions and redefine problems in an attempt to create innovative strategies and solutions. The methodology itself is at the same time a way of thinking, as well as a set of practical and immediately applicable business tools.

In today’s business world, change is happening at an incredible rate, and customer understanding, innovative thinking, and quick problem solving are key to successful adaptation. All this is included in the stages of "design thinking" methodology. It is not reserved only for designers, on the contrary, its principles lie behind some of the key inventions in literature, art, music, science and engineering. Leading brands such as Apple, Google and Samsung apply "design thinking" in the process of creating new products, services and processes, and the methodology itself is taught at leading universities, including Stanford, Harvard and MIT.

Through the workshop, participants will:

develop a basic understanding of the design thinking methodology and its application to everyday business challenges

gain insight into the real needs of users through the planning and implementation of in-depth interviews

develop ideas for innovative products / services by placing user needs at the center of the development process

master a number of new and highly applicable tools for solving business challenges.

The workshop will take place in teams working together to address a real, pre-defined business challenge.

You will be guided through the workshop activities by a certified business trainer and consultant, Tea Tipurić Zavacki. Tea has a master's degree in electrical engineering and information technology and is a certified business coach with 5 years of experience in facilitating in-house training in various industries, including the banking sector, telecommunications and ICT. She received her formal education in the field of knowledge transfer in Lithuania and since then she has been working as a business coach and consultant with more than 5,000 hours of work in the field of human-centered design and efficiency, productivity, communication and presentation skills. In her free time she shares her experience and knowledge on the TeaTime platform as well as on other business-related portals. She often lectures at regional conferences, including TEDx.

Only 12 participants can participate in the workshop, so hurry up, sign up and expand your horizons in the form of developing innovative products or services, putting the needs of your users at the center of the development process.

Looking forward to see you!
